Rosacea is a chronic ailment that affects the skin. It is usually long lasting and does not cause any form of scarring. It is often misdiagnosed as adult acne rosacea. Most people are not even aware that they are suffering from the condition so they tend to assume the symptoms they get.

Some of the symptoms that you can get include stinging on the face, redness when you blush, appearance of pimples, blood vessels lines showing and a feeling that your skin is thickened. The condition is mostly found among those people who have light skin and those who are between the ages of 20 to 40 years.

Use of Sunscreen -The application of sunscreen will help in the prevention of sun burns, skin photo damaging, prevention of skin cancers. Ensure you apply sunscreen upon exposure to the sun.

Moisturizers -Moisturizers can also be helpful especially for those people who have dry or oily skin, or even the two situations. Moisturizers aid in softening face, legs and arms that have less number of oil glands in the skin.

Cosmetics -There are also a wide variety of cosmetics that have been proved effective in treating rosacea. However, it is always good to seek approval from a health expert before using any cosmetic product. Some products do not have curative capabilities; they are only applied to hide the redness and blemishes on the skin. They are commonly referred to as camouflage. Perfumed cosmetics can help in containing the smell that may be as a result of rosacea infection.
